2022 (Redshirt Senior at CMU): Played in 76 sets and 27 of the team’s 29 matches, mostly as a defensive and serving specialist… Also saw some time at the outside hitter position… Made two starts… Finished with 91 digs (1.20/set), 22 kills (0.29/set)… Was tied for third on the team with 17 aces (0.22/set),… Also had nine assists three blocks and 42 total points… Had a reception percentage of .936… Recorded a season-high seven kills after coming off the bench against UCCS (Oct. 14)… Also had two other 5-kill efforts… Recorded a season-high ten digs in the regular season finale at Regis (Nov. 5)… Would tally a season-high three aces against the Rangers just six days later in the RMAC Tournament semifinals… RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.

Fall 2021: Missed the entire season due to injury.

Spring 2021 (Senior at CMU): Named as the RMAC Player of the Year and to the First Team All-RMAC squad after leading the Mavericks in both kills (171) and digs (151)… Played in and started all 16 of the Mavs’ matches at the outside hitter position… Was tied for third in the RMAC with her kill count and ranked fifth ­with her per-set average of 3.05 over 56 sets… Was also ranked eight in the conference for total points (189.5) and points per set (3.38)… Paced the team with seven double-doubles… Recorded double-figure kill counts in a team-leading 11 matches, recording a season and career-high 14 at Westminster on Jan. 30… Also matched that total in a Mar. 4 victory over MSU Denver… Also tallied a career-high 20 digs in that win over the Roadrunners, giving CMU the inside track to their eventual RMAC title… Had a hitting percentage of .228 and recorded 12 aces… Also had a dozen blocks and the same number of assists… Was named as the RMAC’s initial Offensive Player of the Week on Jan. 27 after recording 23 total kills and 24 total digs while hitting over .300 in both of the Mavs' opening day wins over Regis and CSU Pueblo on Jan. 24… Was also honored for her academic successes as CMU’s lone selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team… Was also named to the First Team RMAC All-Academic team.

2019 (Junior at CMU):Played in all but one of the Mavericks’ 27 matches as an outside hitter and defensive specialist… Recorded 165 digs (2.17/set) and 75 kills (0.99/set) in 76 sets played… Hit .078… Also had 12 service aces, 16 assists and five blocks… Transitioned to the outside hitter position for the first time since high school in the pre-season and started 16 of the team’s first 17 matches in that role… Had a season-high nine kills on the opening day of the season (Sept. 6) against Lubbock Christian after putting down eight earlier that day in the season-opener against Fresno Pacific… Recorded double-figure numbers for digs seven times… Had a season-high 16 against Lubbock Christian, falling just one kill shy of a double-double… Matched that total against Chadron State on Oct. 5.

2018 (Sophom*ore at Colorado State): Started all 31 matches for the Rams, mostly as a defensive specialist… Recorded 263 digs in 112 sets, an average of 2.35 per set… Was in double figures eight times… Had a career-high 25 digs at Northern Colorado on Aug. 25, the second most in Colorado State history for a 3-set match… Recorded 31 service aces, an average of 0.28 per set… Tallied three against Illinois (Aug. 24) and San Diego State (Oct. 25)…. Was named to the MW Academic All-Conference squad for the second straight year… Helped the team go 23-8 while winning the conference title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

2017 (Freshman at Colorado State): Played in 32 matches, making 12 starts as a true freshman, mainly as a defensive specialist… Recorded 178 digs in 112 sets, an average of 1.59 per… Recorded 16 service aces… Had a season-high 13 digs in her debut against Duke (Aug. 25)… Had a season-high three aces on Sept. 23 against UNLV… Named to the MW Academic All-Conference team… Helped the Rams post a 29-4 record while winning a Mountain West title and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Prep: Was a 4-year letterwinner as a defensive specialist and outside hitter for the Bayfield Wolverines, coached by her mother Terene… Was on the AVCA Under Armour All-America watch list for 2016 after receiving Intermountain League Player of the Year honors as both a junior (2015) and senior (2016)… Was a 2-time team captain… Was on the CHSAA Academic All-State team… Also lettered in basketball and track.

Club: Played for the Four Corners Volleyball Club, also coached by her mother… Participated in the USA Volleyball High Performance Program for five years and competed internationally, winning the Gold Championship at the EU Global Challenge in Croatia.

Personal: Daughter of Mike and Terene Foutz, a former award-winning Maverick player and assistant coach… Has one younger brother, John… Likes to hike, draw and watch sports… Double majoring in exercise science and fitness & health promotion.

Career Aspirations: “I want to become an occupational therapist, to hopefully empower and strengthen people who might need a different approach when performing any activity in their lives.”

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU for the great coaches, the friendly team, and the beautiful campus. I know I will be pushed and challenged both academically and athletically to become a better, stronger, more confident version of myself. Grand Junction is a wonderful place to be year round and is full of community support for volleyball and athletics.”
